Community Outreach

Community Outreach serves as an integral part of ensuring that County residents are aware of services available at LCDJFS.

Services such as Speakers Bureau, Attending/Presenting at community health related events, taking external complaint calls, coordination of training for community human service providers, and coordinating vendors who visit 3210 Monroe St are all part of the Outreach efforts at Lucas County Job & Family Services.

Q: What is an ombudsman?
A: A neutral unbiased party whom will research your concerns and inquiries.

Q: How do I know I need to speak with an ombudsman?
A: When you have questions about the agencies rules or procedures. When you feel you have been denied a service or you are entitled to or feel you have been treated unfairly.

Q: What will the ombudsmen do?
A: Respond in a timely manner, explain policies and procedures and mediate conflicts.

Q: How do I contact the ombudsmen?
A: There are three ways you can reach the ombudsmen: via telephone, e-mail or face to face during office hours.

Q: Can I make a complaint or submit an inquiry online at this site?
A: Yes, simply click on the e-mail address for any one of the Ombudsmen and type your name, contact information, phone number, complaint or question and send. An Ombudsman will contact you for additional information. The Contact number is 419-213-8812.
